The Logo

People are starting to ask if there are any wolves out here on the Ridge. Short answer, no. The reason for the wolf logo is based on Kipling's Jungle Book. For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack. Translation- we can't do it on our own.

The Idea

The plan for Soldier Creek is laid out in the Goals and Objectives. Since there are only a few FS/JC Fire Crews out there (yes, I know that there are plenty of CCC's that put out crews) its hard to find direction. We hope to gain a little over the winter so we can really hit the ground running come late spring.

• ESTABLISH A REPUTATION WITHIN THE REGION AS A VIABLE OPTION FOR SUPPRESSION, PRESCRIBED FIRE, AND PROJECT WORK SUPPORT
• DEVELOP A LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM FOR REGION 2’S INTERAGENCY FIRE COMMUNITY
• ESTABLISH A MODEL OF EXCELLENCE IN FIRE TRAINING AND HANDS ON EXPERIENCE THAT WILL BE EMULATED BY OTHER PROGRAMS
